Each franchise owner will be entitled to bookings for a geographical area.  This minimizes the delivery and pick up travel time, which results in lower costs to the people renting, and more revenue to the businesses.

The cost for a franchise is $1,600, and the annual franchise fee is 8% of gross revenue.

The cost for a new barbeque and tanks is about $900, and for those that want to minimize their initial investment, I have used barbeques that you can takeover.

You can do the deliveries with just about any type of vehicle.  For years, I did it with a Mazda 323, because I couldn't afford a truck and the gas that it would consume.

For whatever area you take, there will be existing bookings, and I suspect that it will be easy to find new clients to increase the number of bookings.

There is a custom database that you will have access to that makes it easy and efficient to keep track of everything.

The estimate of an "equivalent of over $60 per hour", is calculated as follows: With a marginal tax rate of 30.5%, the taxes on $60 drops it to $41.70.  If you are renting the place that you live, or you have a mortgage, then you will have enough cost write-offs to avoid having to pay any taxes on the bbq income.  When I was running the business myself, I kept track of all of my time, and I was making about $40 per hour each year.  While you probably won't be as fast and efficient as I was, your travel times will be much less, so the revenue per hour can be higher, while the cost to the clients can be simultaneously reduced.

If you reviewed the website, you will see that I am in the process of perhaps giving the business to a registered charity.  If that happens, all franchise agreements will be maintained.  If someone wants to buy the entire business outright, I'm open to considering offers.

If you reviewed the Terms and Information on the website, you will see that delivery and pick up cost recovery charges are based on $28/hr.  While this is less than the $41.70 above, the revenue for other time expended is higher, so that revenue minus expenses divided by time expended will be more than $41.70 per hour.  (Unless you are super slow and inefficient.  Then, of course, your hourly rate will automatically reflect that.)
